The Cove on Ormond Beach
Table of Contents
The Cove on Ormond Beach is a Hilton Grand Vacations property directly located on the gorgeous Ormond Beach on the east coast of Florida. It makes for a great vacation spot with all the amenities a family would want. On this trip, my husband had to work so we invited my mom to come with us.
We live on the west coast of Florida and we wanted to explore the east side a bit more. For the best things to do near The Cove, make sure to check out my list of “7 Best Things To Do At Ormond Beach.”
Location, Location, Location!
If you want to stay directly on the beach, The Cove is the resort to book. The beach is literally a few steps away from the resort. Restaurants and fast food are nearby and if you drive north, you’ll run into St. Augustine, one of the oldest cities in the U.S. These photos are literally from our balcony.
The pool is great for those hot summer days in Florida. It is a lazy river with pool floats and waterfalls. Families with young children will not want to leave the pool! Even I did not want to leave the pool! When we first looked out from our balcony, we could see that the beach went on forever. We fell in love immediately! Lifeguards are on duty at certain times of the day which, to me, brings peace of mind.
As Diamond Resort members, we are privileged to get special perks at these resorts. We are able to get free snacks and drinks from the VIP Concierge. It is very convenient to grab some of these snacks and drinks before heading to the beach or a day out. I was able to meet the two great ladies working at the VIP Concierge, Gina and Alex. They were fantastic in checking us in and answering all of our questions. They had such a great positive attitude and made us feel welcomed!
Our Room
We highly recommend room #605 where we stayed in because the room had a direct view of the beach.
Once we stepped in, this is what we saw. It was clean, comfortable, and the most absolutely amazing views! It has a full kitchen which is great for families.
We save money by having a full kitchen because we can bring back leftovers and reheat the next day or we can cook for ourselves after a quick shopping trip nearby.
One of the bedrooms has its own balcony! It has the same great views as the main balcony of the living room.
The place where Mackintosh Travels™ was born!
It was right here at this place, at this table, with these views where Mackintosh Travels™ was born. I started my travel blog with a logo. The story behind the logo is that our last name is Mackintosh and Mackintosh in the U.K. means raincoat. I had the vision of a raincoat traveling. I then had a designer come up with the full logo after I had sketched a rough draft of what I wanted it to look like. And that was the beginning of it all!
Beach Time!
Soak up the sun, with sunscreen of course – safety first, at the beach. The chairs and umbrellas are first-come-first-serve. Make sure if you want chairs and an umbrella that you get here early. If you’re a VIP member, however, there was a staff member passing out water bottles. That was a special touch to our beach day experience! The sunsets are beautiful so make sure you come out during that time!
