Thurnham Hall is a country estate turned into a resort and is owned by Hilton Grand Vacations. We are members of Diamond Resorts so we take full advantage of the resorts they provide worldwide. It is located in Lancaster, England.

Our son absolutely loves ducks. When he saw the ducks on the grounds he fell in love!

Rooms:

The rooms are bigger on the inside than the outside. We had a 2 story room that consisted of a king size bed upstairs and a downstairs queen sofa bed.  Our boys had a blast looking at the ducks over the window in the kitchen.

Extras:

The pool was luxurious! It was not huge, but very fancy. The pool, of course, is always awesome for kids. It was indoors so you can go swimming at any time regardless of the weather. However, the weather was gorgeous while we were there in the summertime.

Across the resort is a field of cows and sheep. Although we didn’t see a lot of sheep, there is a funny story. Our youngest son was making sheep sounds. After a few times of him doing this, we heard MANY sheep in the background doing the same thing. It’s like he was the sheep whisperer!

Final Note:

I recommend this resort because it is located centrally to Scotland and London. You get the best of both worlds. Also, it is not located in a busy city. It is remote so you will be driving out a bit to get to it. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and staying in a country estate that looks like a castle…well, who can beat that?
